War!

I believe that the world is doing a retrograde
Case in point, all of the world wars (I and II) aggressors
are more well off (relativistic
than those that never waged a war.
War Helps, is the “prevailing idea” for
Yesterday and today
And perhaps, a conclusion! Post-hoc.
Perhaps, I take this model without much support.!
Ok, here we go again;

It seems that the inevitability of war is
equated with Economics!
(in the future well being sense)
War brings change, at a risk to those, that
believe so.
In a democracy this is a collective risk
not sanctioned by the ancestors
A vote for is, for all,
except war. Did I leave out Love and Peace!

Life and Virakthi
My thoughts as it flew!

I do not have a child
But I have many children
I long and want at the same time
Yes! I curl myself up every PM
I wake up and shit what I ate the previous AM
I believe that everyone has to get to the cave
Without, cell phones and minimal excuses.

It seems that we do dare Life
Agonizing about where it happens
Does not help
We have gotten too comfortable with our degrees and what it buys us
And retirement and all other constructs that money truly has become.
Do you exist because you have a right or because you are here?
It is in our nature to be cruel and we have to treat all life as sacred

Have we become immune? We sit in our western worlds, with our western comforts and our western 'civilised' relatives, friends and colleagues. We look on as destruction, carnage and brutality takes place in far away lands. Yet this knowledge doesn't seem to affect our daily routines, our daily lives. Do we really see the news bulletins as just another movie clip? Do we not see real people, real pain, real fear and real blood? Have we become immune..........??

It is a shame that the makers of weapons keep looking for new markets for their wares, and don't care who uses those weapons and on whom. Just now we see the fragile state of America, arguably the "most developed nation" in the world, where citizens are dying of the heat! or the rain! or a tropical storm! The citizens have forgotten how to be self-sufficient, and the makers of the weapons do not want them to remember (or learn).

yes, we need to 'count the children'....

....in beirut, in haifa, in baghdad, in kabul, in rwanda, in darfour, in madrid, in london, in bombay, in bosnia, in AA11/UA175/AA77/UA93...

...in bethesda, in ....

...different places, different traumas...

...but only one hope for a better future: 'count the children'....

To respect the freedom being given...one must understand the responsibility which is bundled along with it! otherwise one ends up abusing the meaning of freedom...

Well, when you come back to India...do watch the "Indian" news channels...you will get to know whose media is it! Its no one's media anymore. All they bother about is money and they try to grab those $s by throwing all kinds of cheap and waste news on your face!

The line of reasoning put forward by Satya and Rajesh is highly rational. I would just like to add one thing. The whole issue is also a ploy to divide the society on the basis of caste and to send 'sympathetic signal' to those corners of the country where peoples' war has already reached a much higher phase. This time the advanced detachment of the country will not be fooled so easily.
